I've made Run in / Tuning Treadmill Testbeds for Lionel trains for over 15 years and decided to apply the same concept to Slot cars.  A little Background on me, I work as a Broadcast Engineer doing mainly Audio Suite wiring installs.  I've been doing it for over 30 years.  I consider myself an expert on soldering and wiring and have applied this to 3 Hobbies I love.  High end Audio, Lionel Trains, and now Slot Cars.  So be confident this item like all my others, is built to meet the highest standards.
Dyno / Speed Checker Let's you know your car's performance on your table instead of on the track.
The space between the Rollers is 1.75" inches, so narrow wheelbase 1/32 Cars will not fit.
Here's what it can do:
LCD display - indicates operations & readings
On/Off Switch
Start Button begins measuring of the speed/lap time
Mode Button - selects between "speed check" or "time attack" mode
Distance Select Button - selects virtual running distance on "time attack" mode from 10 to 300 meters (33 to 985 feet)
Buzzer indicates start and end of readings
Automatic shut-off if left unattended to save battery life
This handy unit is extremely versatile with its 2 power options and 2 Controller options.  The first is a 5 AMP DC Supply which is INCLUDED and plugs into any 110v AC outlet.   The second is a power cable which is also INCLUDED.  It has alligator clips which you can attach to any supply you may have or to the end of your track. With this versatility you can break in and test your slots just about anywhere.
The Treadmill also has 2 choices for slot car speed control. This allows slowly breaking in your cars and testing as you would while racing at all speeds not just full power.  Flip the switch to Hand Control and use your own Controller with Alligator clips on the side of the unit. The Unit has standard controller connections, Power, Brake & Track. With this option, you can use the Dyno anywhere with full speed control.  Take it to the kitchen table, plug in the included DC supply and your hand controller and you're ready to go!  Flip the switch to disable your controller and get full power from the Power Supply.

This speed checker can be used with any standard wheelbase and length 1/24 & 1/32 slot cars. It is powered by 2 AA batteries which keep the Digital circuitry completely isolated from the Slot car Power.  The Unit
can Accurately Check the Speed of Your Car and has 2 modes.
Speed Timer Mode and Distance Timer (Lap) Mode.
