Description

Vintage MOPAR Glove Box Lock with Forward Look logo keys. NOS OEM. Various MOPAR numbers apply including 1607877, 16998993, 1830043, 1830415. Yale part # DP-1070 (DP1070).
This lock has an added feature over other MOPAR glove box locks of this type. The standard lock has a 12 o'clock locked, 3 o'clock unlocked, push button latch retraction. With this lock, while turning the key from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock to unlock, a continuation of the turn to 4 o'clock retracts the latch bolt ... So you can unlock and release the glove box door in one step ... Very cool! Of course the push button will also retract the latch bolt when the lock is unlocked.
MOPAR and lock manufacturer catalogs from the period show this lock as working for the following MOPAR vehicles. Check the photos to confirm application to your specific vehicle. The latch bolt length on this lock is 3/8".
