    Notable Features:
These earrings were made in the vintage Art Deco style. Composed of 14k white gold, the earrings feature beautiful faux pearls and glittering cubic zirconia. The design of these earrings, particularly the inclusion of faux pearls, sparkling stones, and white gold, is a lovely homage to the jewelry that was fashionable during the Art Deco era. This era saw wealthy socialites and aristocrats donning bold, attention-grabbing jewelry to wear to glamorous Gatsby-style parties and other formal evening events.
Each earring features a huge faux pearl which is white in hue. Each pearl displays a stunning luster as light reflects off their off round bodies from different angles. Both of the pearls were adhered to white gold accents that are adorned with cubic zirconia stones
. There are three cubic zirconia to either earring for a total of six cubic zirconia to the earrings. With round and pear cuts, each stone sparkles as light hits its facets from different angles. The cubic zirconia were placed securely in 14k white gold prong settings which complement their colorless, sparkling hues.
The earrings are completed with shepherd's crook backings and safety catches which makes them suitable for pierced ears. A lovely modern tribute to the Gatsby-style jewelry of the Art Deco era, these earrings would make a valuable addition to any antique jewelry collection.
Don't miss your chance to become a part of these earrings' history.
    Damage:
    Age appropriate wear.

    The History
The Art Deco era is famous for being the "Gatsby" or "Roaring Twenties" era. A lot of gorgeous and timeless designs in jewelry came out of this period. Jewelry from this period was most often crafted between 1920 and 1940. Art Deco jewelry sometimes featured white gold or platinum, geometric designs, European cut diamonds, filigree, and calibre cut stones that are specifically cut to fit the design of the piece. During the Art Deco period jewelers often made jewelry upon custom order, this would often take weeks to months to completely craft by hand.
Discovered in 1892, Cubic zirconia (CZ) is the cubic crystalline form of zirconium oxide. It wasn’t until the 1930’s that scientist discovered how to melt and create a refractory substance that CZ was crafted into diamond-simulating stones for jewelry. The synthesized material is hard, optically flawless, usually colorless, and much less expensive than a natural diamond, which makes it a great alternative in rings, bracelets and other types of jewelry.
