  • Condition: This item is in good condition for something of it's age however the porcelain pan does have a three inch fault line on top side which is only 1 1/2 on the opposite side. It doesn't appear to affect the integrity of the piece as the material is very sturdy like the porcelain on bathroom fixtures.

    Description

John Chatillon & Sons Scale Brass with Porcelain Weighing Pan 1884. This is an absolutely beautiful scale and weighing pan, it has shiny bright brass, wishbone arms that hold a veined, wide, porcelain pan that almost looks like marble. I'm not to sure of the accuracy of this scale though. The Pan measures a 12 1/2" Diameter, The Arms are 18" wide and 17 1/4" from pan to top of hook and 13 3/4" to bottom of hook. The John Chatillon & Sons Company was formed in 1835 in New York City.
