Large Bison Bison Horn Core Half Skull Cap Historic

Historic American bison horn core half skull cap. Large, heavy partial bison skull with horn core measures 13 inches, the full skull would have had a horn span of  26 inches.
This area was home to many native tribes throughout the ages, most recently the Lakota Santee. It's not difficult to imagine that this bison may have been a part of their circle of life.
Likely this partial skull is from a historuc bison bison that had an impressive set of horns. Found in a waterway in 2021.
This piece has been sealed with an acrylic stabilizing product, paraloid b-72.
