    Wear Prescription Lenses with Advantage 1000 Gas Masks
    Conentional eyewear or prescription glasses just can't be worn inside a full face respirator or gas mask because the arms that extend back to the ear would interfere with the proper seal of the mask against the face.  Bumping into things is certainly not going to make anyone much safer!
    Mine Safety Appliances has got their Advantage 1000 users covered with this prescription lens frame that is designed to integrate perfectly within their Advantage 1000 respirator.  Simply take your MSA Spectacle kit (frame) to your regular presciption eyewear shop & have them install your prescription.  Its removeable so you can still use your respirator without the spectacle kit/eyeglass insert.
