    You are buying an authentic antique Perkins 8 (8" globe) ship's lantern.  This particular example is a much older version than average.  The globe is a very old glass blowing technique and has many imperfections like the very old window glass from the same period.  This is not the more common clean glass globe with easy to read Perkins 8 or the later markings.  A much older and special piece from an estate of a nautical
    enthusiast
    whom passed away.
    Condition:
    Good condition for its age.  Has no major issues.  A few dings here and there.  Some light corrosion as to be expected.  Overall pretty nice.
