These earrings are iconic Mexican jewelry.  They are a style known as a pyramid and feature lots of intricate yellow gold filigree, dancing dangles and fabulous design, absolutely typical of this style.  They are shown to scale and are very impressively sized.  A traditional design with its roots in Moorish Spain, this pair is made of solid 10 karat yellow gold (marked and tested) in a dramatic but very wearable 2 7/8 inch length from the ear wire to the bottom.  The filigree is breath-takingly intricate, truly a work of art.  The earrings are made in three sections with a top made of a filigree triangle, followed by three sections of filigree in increasing size and finished with a dozen of so of handmade dangles.  Thanks to the extra fine filigree, the pair weighs a very wearable 9 grams.  Everything about these earrings is exactly as it should be.  Lovely estate pieces in excellent condition, they will come in a sparkly pouch inside of one of my signature boxes, perfect for gift-giving.
