VINTAGE ANTIQUE FURROW SHOVEL / MIDDLE BUSTER BLADE / CHISEL PLOW

Description

Measures 10-1/4 inches x 5-½ inches.
Two connection/contact bolt holes - one square and one round.  A beautiful hand wrought nut, washer and square bolt with swirled metal finial.
Not sure if the finial is for decoration or function.
Even though it is old it is still functional with no cracks or rust.
These blades are used for plowing hilled up rows to divert water to drainage ditches.
Also commonly used for harvesting potatoes by running down the center of the row.
When the dirt rolls out so will the potatoes.
Can be used for trenching underground water and wire lines.
