Description
Here's a pretty dinner plate which was made by the Indiana Glass Company of Dunkirk, Indiana. The pressed pattern was called "Lorain" by Indiana, but some people called it 'Basket'; it was produced from 1929 until 1932.The plate is about 10-1/4" 'square', and sits about 3/4" high at the edges. It is free of nicks, chips, fleabites or other damage, though it does have some tiny bubbles here and there (it's machine-made, not hand-made like Cambridge, Heisey, etc., so the glass is the quality of stuff made by those companies, but it's fine for what it is). Holding it up to the light, I don't see hardly anything..a couple of very small scratches and scuffs, but nothing heavy or noticeable. I've got way too much of this kind of thing lying about and often can't stop myself from buying more, so this needs a new home.
